Raw Power
The magnet used by Super Plug is made from the most powerful magnetic material in the world. How powerful is powerful? It is ten times more powerful than the next strongest magnetic material. How powerful is ten times? Imagine the engine in your car with at least ten times more horsepower...165hp is now 1,650hp. It is a dramatically significant increase in power.

Super Plug has been designed to use the maximum flux power possible, and is limited, in fact, by the application and physical size of the threaded entry hole. In the application, were Super Plug's magnet to be stronger, it would be difficult if not impractical to insert the plug into the oil pan opening without the magnet adhering to the sides of the pan opening itself, making it virtually impossible to engage the threads. As an example, simply threading a Super Plug into a "thread gauge" will reveal how close to the application flux limit Super Plug has been taken.

Compared to most existing magnetic drain plugs, particularly those found on Ford and GM products, Super Plug's magnet is physically approximately three times larger. Super Plug magnets are designed to be physically slightly less in diameter than the opening in the oil pan they thread into. Said another way, Super Plug magnets are physically as large as they can be. Comparing to the Ford and/or GM magnetic plugs , in order for them to equal the flux power of a normal passenger car Super Plug, they would have to be a minimum of 3 3/4" in diameter and 5" in length.
