Special and Custom Applications
Super Plug can be adapted to almost any application. Magnet sizes vary by application. Most applications are limited by the size of the entry space, that is, a one half inch diameter magnet is too large to fit in the oil pan of a typical car or truck. It is also too powerful and would adhere itself to the sides of the opening, and not be able to be threaded into the pan. Most marine engines require magnets 1/8" x 1/2;" (diameter x length), many motorcycles and cars require 1/4" x 1/2", and other cars and light trucks 3/8" x 1/2". Heavy Duty truck magnets are 1/2' X 1/2". Super Plug magnets also vary in "power"; the same size magnet can have more or less energy (attraction).

Super Plug magnets are nickel coated. Magnets can be coated or un-coated. Coatings extend the life of the magnet, especially if it is subjected to a harsh environment such as an engine. Super Plug magnets can also be rectangular in shape. Many disks and rectangular magnet sizes are maintained in inventory. Special sizes require an 8-9 week lead time and a minimum order size.

Super Plug's bolt section can be custom made with custom thread, pitch, diameter, and length. The same applies to the cup adaptor section. For Example, special industrial applications use a number of Super Plugs set in a single base.
